Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and efficiency
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as needed
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in compliance with health regulations
Manage food production schedules to meet service times and minimise waste
Assist in menu planning and development to incorporate seasonal ingredients and innovative dishes
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Lead by example in maintaining a positive team environment and fostering professional growth
Requirements
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Supervising experience with the ability to lead a team effectively
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene regulations
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
Culinary experience demonstrating creativity and attention to detail
Familiarity with food production processes and serving techniques
Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and manage conflicts professionally
Good communication skills in English; previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is preferred
A recognised culinary qualification or equivalent experience is desirable
