Responsibilities
Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service
Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
Oversee food safety practices, ensuring compliance with health regulations and hygiene standards
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control waste to optimise kitchen operations
Develop new menu items in collaboration with management, considering current culinary trends and customer preferences
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to foster professional growth and maintain high-quality standards
Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery
Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment at all times
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Supervising experience with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in culinary hygiene
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork, motivation, and high performance
Proficiency in developing menus, managing stock levels, and controlling costs
