Overview

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and preparation, demonstrating exceptional culinary skills and a commitment to food safety. As a Chef, you will play a pivotal role in creating memorable dining experiences while leading and managing kitchen operations.

Duties

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, adhering to recipes and portion control guidelines. Supervise kitchen staff, providing training and support to enhance their skills and performance. Manage inventory, ordering supplies as needed while minimising waste. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment. Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service delivery. Innovate new menu items and seasonal specials to keep the offerings fresh and exciting.

Skills

Proven supervising experience in a kitchen environment. Strong background in food production and preparation techniques. Excellent team management skills, fostering a positive work atmosphere. Proficient in cooking methods, with a passion for culinary excellence. Extensive kitchen experience with a solid understanding of hospitality principles. Demonstrated leadership abilities to inspire and motivate the culinary team. Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices within the kitchen setting. Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, showcasing versatility in various cuisines. Ability to serve dishes with attention to detail, ensuring customer satisfaction.
