Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food preparation and service
Oversee all aspects of food production, including cooking, plating, and presentation
Develop and implement innovative menus in collaboration with management
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in accordance with regulations
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control costs effectively
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to enhance their skills and performance
Ensure timely delivery of dishes during service hours while maintaining quality standards
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Monitor kitchen operations to optimise workflow and minimise waste
Qualifications
Proven experience in a supervisory role within a professional kitchen environment
Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary trends
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
Solid understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene
Previous experience working in restaurants or hospitality settings is highly desirable
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and management
Formal culinary qualifications or equivalent experience preferred
