Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and preparation, along with excellent leadership skills to manage a dynamic kitchen/cafe environment. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating dishes that delight our customers while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and preparation. Supervise and manage kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and positive team environment. Develop and design innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences. Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations, maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Train kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food safety practices, and proper equipment usage. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and order as necessary to maintain stock. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Maintain a creative approach to cooking while adhering to budgetary constraints.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Chef in a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong culinary skills with a deep understanding of food preparation techniques. Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
