We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and kitchen management, demonstrating exceptional culinary skills and a commitment to food safety. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating innovative dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring a high standard of hospitality in our dining establishment.

Please note: hours are on a rota basis and will include weekends and evening

Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to food safety standards. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, showcasing creativity and attention to detail in presentation. Maintain inventory levels of food supplies and ingredients, placing orders as necessary to ensure freshness and quality. Help to develop menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences while adhering to budgetary constraints. Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, complying with health regulations at all times. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction.

Skills

Strong background in food production and preparation techniques, with an emphasis on quality cooking practices. Excellent team work skills, fostering a positive work culture among kitchen staff. Comprehensive knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in culinary operations. Previous experience in the hospitality industry, particularly within restaurant settings, is highly desirable. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of service and presentation. Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
