We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our award-winning Gastro Pub on the edge of Lancashire. The ideal candidate will possess culinary expertise, and a passion for food preparation and presentation. This role involves being involved in all kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and inspiring the team to achieve excellence in every dish served.
Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
Manage food production processes, maintaining consistency in quality and taste
Oversee food safety practices, ensuring compliance with health regulations and hygiene standards
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery
Monitor inventory levels, place orders for supplies, and manage stock rotation
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment at all times
Assist in menu planning and development to keep offerings innovative and appealing
Qualifications
Proven experience in a culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality environment
Strong background in food production, cooking, and food preparation techniques
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene regulations
Solid understanding of kitchen operations, including inventory management and food service procedures
Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting
Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is highly desirable
