Duties

Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and service. Oversee all aspects of food preparation, ensuring dishes meet quality standards and presentation expectations. Manage food safety procedures in compliance with health regulations and company policies. Develop new menu items in collaboration with management, incorporating current culinary trends. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to hygiene standards. Assist in serving guests when necessary, providing excellent hospitality service. Monitor stock levels and control waste to optimise operational efficiency.

Experience

Proven experience within a professional kitchen environment. Background in food production, cooking, and food preparation techniques. Demonstrable leadership skills with experience managing a diverse team. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality settings. Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable. Familiarity with food service operations including serving and customer interaction is advantageous.
