Responsibilities
Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations and high-quality food production
Oversee all aspects of food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet restaurant standards
Manage food safety protocols, hygiene standards, and compliance with health regulations
Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, considering seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs effectively
Train and mentor team members to enhance their culinary skills and professional development
Ensure timely service delivery while maintaining consistency in taste and presentation
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in accordance with industry standards
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction
Qualifications
Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Supervising experience with the ability to manage a team effectively
Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
Excellent organisational skills with the capacity to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Experience in menu development and inventory management is desirable
