Duties
Lead and manage the kitchen team, fostering a collaborative and positive work atmosphere.
Oversee all aspects of food preparation and production, ensuring quality and consistency in every dish.
Develop and implement innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends.
Supervise the cooking process, ensuring that dishes are prepared to the highest standards of taste and presentation.
Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed while minimising waste.
Train and mentor kitchen staff, providing guidance on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen operations.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary trends, and kitchen management practices.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and quality control.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
