Duties

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring that food preparation meets quality standards and adheres to safety regulations. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support in food production and cooking techniques. Plan and create innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as necessary while minimising waste. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen. Train new staff members in food preparation techniques, kitchen procedures, and safety protocols. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery for guests. Monitor food presentation and portion control to maintain consistency across dishes.

Requirements

Proven experience in a culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality environment. Strong supervisory experience with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. In-depth knowledge of food production processes, cooking methods, and culinary techniques. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management. Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in both cooking and presentation. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality. A passion for hospitality and creating memorable dining experiences for guests.
