Duties
Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality food production
Manage food safety protocols, including hygiene standards and proper storage procedures
Oversee food inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and minimise waste
Lead the team in maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Train new team members in food preparation techniques and safety procedures
Monitor the presentation and taste of dishes before serving to guests or customers
Skills
Proven experience in food production, cooking, and kitchen management
Supervising experience within a hospitality or restaurant setting
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively
Excellent knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
Skilled in food preparation, presentation, and culinary techniques
Experience in restaurant or hospitality environments is highly desirable
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Good organisational skills with the ability to oversee multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff
