We are seeking an experienced Chef to help run our kitchen team, this is in a Traditional Cornish village pub with a difference. This position is set to Thursday to Sunday. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional culinary skills and a strong background in food preparation and kitchen management.
Pay is negotiable on experience.
Duties
Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality food preparation.
Develop Daily Specials
Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards to ensure the health and safety of both staff and customers.
Order supplies as needed, and manage food costs effectively to maximise profitability.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
Stay updated on culinary trends and incorporate new techniques or dishes into the menu as appropriate.
Skills
Proven experience in a kitchen leadership role within a restaurant setting.
Strong culinary skills with a deep understanding of food preparation techniques and presentation.
Excellent team management abilities, capable of motivating staff and fostering a positive work culture.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality.
Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively liaise with team members and front-of-house staff.
A passion for cooking and helping others develop their culinary skills within the team.
