We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts and a deep understanding of food preparation and production. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating exceptional dishes that delight our guests while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained. We can work on a 4 day or 5 day week dependent on your availability and we attempt to give everyone at least 1 full weekend off every month if required.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant's menu and standards. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food production. Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with the management team to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed. Ensure that all food is prepared in a timely manner, meeting service deadlines. Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and restaurant policies. Uphold the principles of hospitality by ensuring guest satisfaction with every meal served.

Skills

Proficient in food preparation techniques and culinary skills. Strong leadership abilities to effectively supervise kitchen personnel. Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment. Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices within the hospitality industry. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating independence when required. Experience in food production within a restaurant setting is highly desirable. A passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences for guests.
