Starting a new chapter.

We are seeking a Chef to help us develop and modernise our restaurant.

Passionate about local seasonal produce, using the best ingredients creatively to provide a wonderful experience for loyal locals and a healthy tourist trade in a gastopub setting.

Duties

Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes to order. Design seasonal menus using local produce. Assume ordering and stock control duties Work effectively with our small team. We are a very friendly and dedicated team who are looking forward to a new challenge. Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations. Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen at all times Lead by example in delivering excellent hospitality and service standards

Essential qualities

Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment. An excellent team worker with strong communication skills. Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation skills . Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices. Good organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
The Cairn Hotel is a celebrated Highland inn, set in prime position in the Cairngorm National Park. With a 60 seat restaurant, we are the community hub for Carrbridge. We benefit from a strong tourist trade during the main season and occasionally enjoy some outside catering, street food, or other interesting opportunities, mainly to provide a bit of variety for our team.

We have benefitted from have a very loyal Chef team who have been with us for many years, but we can now present a rare opportunity to lead our restaurant offering to the next level.

The successful candidate will work well the the owner/operator to help us offer consistently excellent food, presented well, ensuring our team deliver each plate with pride.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 32,000.00-35,000.00 per year
