We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef for a new children's softplay business. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality, simple breakfast and lunch dishes. The Chef will play a pivotal role in maintaining food safety standards, managing food production, and inspiring team members in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Efficient food preparation and service
Oversee all aspects of food production, including cooking, plating, and presentation
Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, considering current trends and customer preferences
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in accordance with health regulations
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control waste to optimise kitchen operations
Train and mentor junior staff to enhance their culinary skills and ensure adherence to company standards
Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction
Monitor kitchen equipment and facilities for proper functioning and safety compliance
Ensure all dishes meet quality standards before serving to customers
Experience
Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen environment
Extensive background in food production, cooking, and food preparation techniques
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
Experience working in hospitality or restaurant settings with a focus on customer service excellence
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in a commercial kitchen
Demonstrated ability to develop menus, manage inventory, and control costs
Previous experience serving in a high-volume or fine dining establishment is desirable
Competence in kitchen organisation, multitasking, and working under pressure
