Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our culinary team. As a Chef, you will play a pivotal role in creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests while leading a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Duties

Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to the restaurant's menu and standards. Ensure all food preparation meets health and safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen. Lead and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages creativity and teamwork. Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and quality. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative culinary techniques. Manage inventory levels of food supplies, placing orders as necessary to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked. Monitor kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and adherence to food safety protocols. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant setting. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. Proficient in various cooking techniques and cuisines, with a passion for culinary arts. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong organisational skills with the capability to multitask effectively in a busy kitchen environment. A culinary degree or relevant qualification is desirable but not essential.
