We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production, batch cooking and preparation, with an unwavering commitment to quality. Great knowledge of food from a variety of world wide influences and creative flair for presentation. As a Chef, you will play a pivotal role in the smooth operation of the kitchen in all areas, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards while maintaining a harmonious and efficient working environment. Must be available to work a varied shift pattern including Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, Evenings, Weekends and Holidays.
Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to health and safety regulations.
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specifications, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to foster a collaborative team environment.
Manage food inventory and supplies, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and properly stored.
Batch cooking on a large scale ensuring sufficient food supply to multiple sites.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to hygiene standards at all times.
Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and policies.
Ensure that produce is used in the most effective way and correct order to preserve the life span of all produce.
Skills
Proven track record of working as part of a team.
Strong culinary skills with extensive knowledge of food production techniques and kitchen operations.
Excellent organisational abilities to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to supervise and motivate kitchen staff effectively while maintaining high morale.
Passion for food preparation with an eye for detail in presentation and quality control.
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with both kitchen staff and front-of-house teams.
Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements of the kitchen.
