Duties

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as needed. Plan and execute menus, taking into consideration seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to, maintaining a clean and safe working environment. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as required. Prepare and cook various dishes according to established recipes and standards. Maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring it is in good working order.

Skills

Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality or restaurant industry. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively. Extensive knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Excellent culinary skills with a passion for cooking and food presentation. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong organisational skills with the capability to multitask effectively. Experience in menu planning and food production techniques. A background in supervising kitchen staff is highly desirable.
