Blossom Years Nursery, Chislehurst is looking for an experienced Chef to join our team

You will be an enthusiastic team player and have knowledge of Food Allergies and Food Safety requirements. Due to the nature of this job, candidates will be subject to UK eligibility checks together with Enhance Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks:

To prepare and cook balanced healthy meals and snacks for children 6 months to 5 years

To develop healthy menu taking into consideration children's cultural and dietary needs

To ensure kitchen cleanliness is maintained to the highest of standards

To order stock and work to budgets and maintain records as required

To help maintain the cleanness of the nursery environment

To prepare and cook enough age appropriate food for all the children on a daily basis with minimum wastage

To ensure all nursery policies and procedures are adhered to and that environmental and health requirements and legislation is followed

To attend training as required

Ensure stocks are managed and stock levels are recorded in line with company expectations

Ensure that budgetary requirements are met

Expected to hold at least a Level 2 Food and Hygiene certificate

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Salary: 12.25-14.00 per hour

The position is Monday-Friday, 28-32 hours per week, 9.00am to 4.00pm. 28 days holiday including Bank holidays. Please not we are NOT a term time only nursery, and we are open 51 weeks of the year.
