Responsibilities

Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support in daily operations. Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality. Develop and implement menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations. Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen procedures. Monitor inventory levels, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock for food production. Create a positive work atmosphere that encourages teamwork and professional growth.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation styles. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen environment. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in both cooking and presentation. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards. Previous experience in restaurant settings is highly desirable.
