Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations
Oversee food production, ensuring dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation
Manage food preparation activities, including cooking, plating, and garnishing
Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, considering seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards
Organise staff schedules, delegate tasks effectively, and monitor performance to foster a cohesive team environment
Ensure proper stock control and inventory management to minimise waste and optimise resources
Provide training and mentorship to junior kitchen staff to enhance their skills and knowledge
Collaborate with front-of-house teams to deliver excellent service experiences for guests
Experience
Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen environment
Extensive background in food production, cooking, and food preparation across diverse cuisines
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively under pressure
Comprehensive knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable
Familiarity with menu development, food presentation, and serving techniques
Experience in managing kitchen operations in a fast-paced setting is advantageous
