As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing food preparation and production, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food production. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with health regulations. Assist in menu planning, including the creation of new recipes and seasonal offerings. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and ingredients, placing orders as necessary. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction. Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, safety protocols, and kitchen operations. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained.

Skills

Strong culinary skills with a passion for food preparation and production. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene. Experience in supervising kitchen staff and managing a team effectively. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and front-of-house staff. A creative approach to menu development and willingness to experiment with new flavours and techniques.
