The successful candidate will be responsible for running a designated section of the kitchen, ensuring consistently high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene. This role is ideal for an experienced chef looking to take ownership of their section while contributing creatively to menu development in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Responsibilities
Take full responsibility for the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes within your assigned section.
Ensure all food is prepared in line with recipes, specifications, and quality standards set by the Head Chef.
Supervise and support Commis Chefs and junior kitchen staff, providing training and guidance where required.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and food safety within your section at all times.
Assist with menu development, contributing ideas for new dishes and improvements.
Monitor stock levels, manage stock rotation, and assist with ordering to minimise waste and control costs.
Support the wider kitchen team during service to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Ensure compliance with all food safety, health, and hygiene regulations.
Requirements
Previous experience working as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role within a professional kitchen.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety regulations.
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Proven ability to lead and motivate junior team members.
A passion for high-quality food and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude.
