We are seeking a line Cook to join our busy kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, with experience working in fast-paced restaurant environments. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking dishes to specification, and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.
Duties
Prepare ingredients and components for menu items in accordance with recipes and standards
Cook a variety of dishes efficiently and consistently, ensuring quality presentation
Assist in meal preparation during busy service periods, supporting the kitchen team as needed
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations
Support the team in maintaining a smooth workflow during service hours
Follow health and safety guidelines at all times, including proper handling of equipment and ingredients
Experience
Previous experience in food preparation or as a cook within a restaurant or catering environment is desirable
Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices
Knowledge of various cooking techniques and culinary skills
Experience working under pressure in a fast-paced setting is advantageous
Serving or front-of-house experience is a plus but not essential; however, good communication skills are important for team collaboration
