We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our vibrant kitchen team. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in meal preparation, ensuring that every dish meets our standards of excellence while adhering to food safety regulations.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all cooking utensils and equipment are properly cleaned and stored. Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management to ensure sufficient supplies for meal preparation. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Follow all food safety guidelines and health regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Help train new kitchen staff as needed, sharing knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen operations.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a cook or in a similar role within a restaurant setting is preferred. Strong culinary skills with an understanding of meal preparation techniques and food safety practices. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a busy kitchen environment. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required. A genuine passion for food and cooking, with a desire to learn and grow within the culinary field.
