Heads of Ayr Farm Park are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef de Partie to join our dynamic Stonehouse Kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your culinary skills and contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our visitors. A strong focus on food safety, cleanliness, and teamwork is essential to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
This is a temporary role, available for an immediate start, with a minimum of three days per week guaranteed. Hours would be from around 9am-6pm, with rate of pay being negotiable dependent on experience. Although this is an initial temporary role, long-term work may be available for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients and cook dishes according to specified recipes and standards
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in the kitchen
Assist in organising the kitchen station before and after service
Follow portion control and presentation guidelines to ensure consistency
Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and efficiency
Restock ingredients and supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations during shifts
Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, including proper handling of food and equipment
Experience
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in a commercial kitchen
Experience with meal preparation and working under pressure during busy service hours
Familiarity with various cooking techniques and culinary skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
