We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that each dish is prepared to perfection in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are adhered to at all times
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service
Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management as needed
Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety practices
Experience
Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in culinary environments
Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on meal preparation techniques
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues
