We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our meals are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. You will work closely with other kitchen staff to create delicious dishes that delight our guests.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, ensuring freshness and quality.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all food served.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation during service hours.
Help in the training of new kitchen staff as required.
Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory management.
Requirements
Proven experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred.
Strong culinary skills with a focus on meal preparation techniques.
Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
