As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in meal preparation, ensuring that each dish is prepared to perfection and delivered promptly to our guests. Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure all food safety protocols are adhered to, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen.
Assist with meal preparation, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning ingredients.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
Monitor stock levels of ingredients and report any shortages or issues to the head chef.
Maintain kitchen equipment and utensils in good working condition through regular cleaning and maintenance.
Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices as needed.
Requirements
Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential.
Knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques is highly desirable.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
