We are seeking a dedicated chef de partie to join our team based in a traditional country pub near Cirencester in the Cotswolds. We cater for events, tourists and our close-knit local community alike in our pub-restaurant with 4 newly-refurbished BnB rooms. Our focus is good, quality food with good customer service to give an all-round experience. The successful candidate will have a passion for food, a commitment to maintaining high standards and attention to detail, and be able to work well in a team committed to food safety standards.
Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes
Assist in meal preparation and support the team, ensuring timely delivery during busy service periods
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment
Follow food safety protocols and hygiene regulations at all times
Monitor stock levels and notify management of any shortages or supplies needed
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure consistency in dish presentation and taste
Experience
Previous experience in a professional kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards is desirable
Experience with meal preparation and food safety procedures is advantageous
Familiarity with serving in a busy restaurant setting is a plus
A genuine passion for culinary arts and willingness to learn new skills is essential
