We are seeking a talented and dedicated Chef De Partie to join our culinary team in Birmingham, United Kingdom. As a key member of our kitchen brigade, you will be responsible for overseeing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation.
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes to exacting standards within your designated section
Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in menu planning and development
Manage and train junior kitchen staff within your section
Ensure compliance with all food safety and hygiene regulations
Maintain organised and clean work areas at all times
Collaborate with other sections to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Assist in stock rotation and inventory management
Contribute to the development of new recipes and techniques
Participate in quality control and taste testing
Adapt to changing priorities and handle high-pressure situations effectively
Qualifications
Culinary degree or equivalent qualification in professional cookery
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role within a high-quality establishment
Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Strong organisational and multitasking skills
Excellent knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
Up-to-date food safety certification
Ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve issues effectively
Strong communication and team leadership skills
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as required
Passion for food and commitment to culinary excellence
Physical stamina to withstand long hours of standing and working in a kitchen environment
