We are seeking a dedicated and skilled chef de partie to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a chef de partie, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in accordance with our restaurant's standards, ensuring food safety and hygiene practices are strictly followed.
Duties
Assist in the preparation and cooking of various dishes as per the menu specifications.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and utensils.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal service during busy periods.
Help in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages to the kitchen manager.
Participate in menu planning and recipe development as required.
Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a harmonious working environment within the team.
Requirements
Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills is advantageous.
Understanding of food safety practices and regulations.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
