The Golden Fleece is an independently owned pub with no ties to any particular brewery which gives us the freedom to choose any drinks we like, whenever we like. We aim to provide a welcoming local pub with a great atmosphere where you can have a quality drink (or three!) and delicious fresh food that really makes an impression.
We are looking to recruit a Chef de Partie to join our team. As a Commis chef you'll be at the heart of our kitchen team helping to ensure a smooth running of a busy service. With a wealth of experience around you, you'll be climbing the ladder quickly.
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Chef de Partie to join our culinary team. As a CDP, you will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen operations, assisting in food preparation and production, and ensuring that our high standards of food safety and quality are maintained. This position is ideal for individuals looking to develop their culinary skills within a dynamic and fast-paced restaurant environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients and dishes as directed by senior kitchen staff.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
- Support the team in cooking and plating dishes to meet service standards.
- Help manage inventory by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages to senior chefs.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations during service periods.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen or culinary environment is preferred but not essential.
- A strong understanding of food safety practices and hygiene standards.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
- A passion for hospitality and a desire to learn and grow within the culinary field.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: Up to 12.75 per hour
