We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of our restaurant.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food is prepared in a safe and hygienic manner, adhering to food safety regulations. Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations, utensils, and equipment. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Monitor stock levels of ingredients and communicate needs to the kitchen manager. Participate in the training of new kitchen staff as required. Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar culinary environment is preferred. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food preparation. A passion for culinary arts and willingness to learn new techniques. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed. Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
