We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team at our NEW opening in Burton-in-Kendal. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, delivering exceptional meals to our guests.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner, meeting service requirements.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service.
Assist in inventory management, including ordering and restocking supplies as needed.
Participate in menu planning and development, offering creative input where appropriate.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant setting.
Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques.
Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
