We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation and food safety, ensuring that every dish meets our high standards of quality and presentation. Your ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment will contribute to the overall success of our kitchen.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Assist in the meal preparation process, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and properly stored. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to the head chef. Follow proper cooking techniques and presentation guidelines for all dishes served. Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation methods and safety protocols.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen or culinary environment is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with food safety practices and sanitation standards is highly desirable. Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a busy setting. A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques within the culinary field. Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
