Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our meals are prepared to the highest standards, contributing to the overall dining experience of our guests. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with other kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dishes.

Responsibilities



Assist in meal preparation and cooking of menu items according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and workstations, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Prepare ingredients by chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and measuring spices as required for various dishes. Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, and slicers safely and efficiently. Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Monitor food stock levels and assist in inventory management by reporting shortages or needed supplies. Follow health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for all staff. Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices.

Requirements



Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. Strong understanding of food preparation techniques and culinary skills. Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is highly desirable. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively within the kitchen team. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required by the restaurant's schedule.
