We are seeking a Chef de Partie to join our Kitchen team,
At the Swan we specialize in Beers, Wines & Spirits from all over the world & Serve high quality food championing local suppliers.
Between 2020-2023 we underwent a large renovation project which has added state of the art Kitchen Facilities.
In the renovation we've also added on a new Bar/Cellar & Brewery/Distillery which will be up and running by Summer 2026.
In the last 6 months we were named in the Good Food Guides Top 50 pubs & have firm aspirations to keep climbing the list.
We've undergone a soft launch approach for the last year as we establish ourselves locally & are due to launch officially next year!
We're currently recruiting as we look to expand our opening days from 5 to 7 days a week.
The right candidate will be open to learning & improving into a Sous Chef role in the near future under the guidance of the current Head & Sous Chefs.
The Role
This will include preparing & presenting high quality dishes, supervising kitchen operations & maintaining our 5 star Food Safety Standards.
Responsibilities
|Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
|Supervise specific sections of the kitchen, overseeing food production and ensuring timely delivery of orders.
|Manage inventory control, including stock rotation, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste.
|Maintain strict adherence to food safety and sanitation regulations across all kitchen activities.
|Assist in menu planning and contribute creative ideas for seasonal or special offerings.
|Lead and motivate team members during shifts, providing guidance on food preparation and service techniques.
|Coordinate with the catering, banquet, and restaurant teams to ensure seamless food service during events or peak hours.
Experience
|Proven Kitchen experience in a high-volume or fine dining setting with a focus on quality presentation.
|Supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment, demonstrating leadership skills.
|Strong background in food handling, safety protocols, and inventory management.
|Familiarity with menu planning, shift management, and kitchen operations within the hospitality industry.
|Knowledge of dietary requirements and ability to adapt dishes accordingly.
|Prior experience in restaurant management or food service management is advantageous but not mandatory.
