Overview:
Tipsy Chef Limited T/A The Cowdray Arms is looking for an experienced and talented Chef De Partie to join our culinary team. The Chef De Partie will be responsible for managing multiple sections, organizing daily preparation, ensuring top-tier food quality, and collaborating with the sous chef and head chef on developing seasonal menus. Maintaining consistently high standards of food safety, health & safety, and contributing to the creative process are key aspects of this role.
Responsibilities:
Section Management and Organization:
Manage and oversee multiple sections within the kitchen, ensuring efficient daily preparation and coordination.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain a smooth workflow and timely service.
Food Quality Assurance:
Ensure the quality of food served is exceptional, meeting or exceeding established standards.
Conduct regular quality checks and work with kitchen teams to enhance dish presentation and flavour profiles.
Menu Development Collaboration:
Work closely with the sous chef and head chef to develop seasonal menus.
Provide input on creative and innovative dishes to enhance the overall culinary offering.
Food Safety and Health & Safety:
Maintain consistently high standards of food safety, adhering to regulations and best practices.
Enforce health & safety procedures to create a safe working environment for the kitchen team.
Training and Development:
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, ensuring they are well-versed in preparation methods and quality standards.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting skill development.
Communication and Teamwork:
Maintain open and effective communication with kitchen teams and collaborate with other departments.
Work closely with colleagues to ensure a seamless and efficient kitchen operation.
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience as a Chef De Partie or in a similar role within a high-volume kitchen.
Culinary qualifications or equivalent experience.
Strong understanding of food safety and health & safety regulations.
Creative mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and sections effectively.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
