Duties
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
Maintain food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with health regulations.
Collaborate with the management team to develop seasonal menus that highlight fresh ingredients and innovative cooking techniques.
Manage inventory levels, ensuring that all necessary ingredients are stocked and properly stored.
Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and kitchen operations.
Monitor kitchen operations to ensure consistency in food quality and presentation.
Address any issues or concerns that arise during service to maintain a smooth workflow.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen management principles.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
Passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences for guests.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the business needs.
Pastry experience preferred
