We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. Duties
Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
Assist in meal preparation, ensuring timely delivery during busy service periods
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, and fryers
Ensure all food is stored correctly and rotated appropriately to minimise waste
Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent service and uphold the restaurant's reputation
Follow health and safety procedures diligently, including proper handling of food and cleaning protocols
Support the team during peak hours by assisting with serving or other related tasks as needed
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant or catering environment (desirable)
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal presentation and quality control
Good communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities during service times
Enthusiasm for culinary arts and eagerness to learn new techniques and recipes
