Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our vibrant culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about food preparation and culinary arts to develop their skills whilst delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests. Prior kitchen experience and a strong understanding of food safety standards are essential for this position.
Duties
Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to recipes and presentation standards
Cook menu items efficiently while maintaining high quality and consistency
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations throughout shifts
Assist with meal preparation during busy service times to support team operations
Monitor stock levels and communicate shortages or replenishment needs to management
Adhere to portion control guidelines to minimise waste and optimise efficiency
Serve food promptly and courteously to guests, ensuring a positive dining experience
Requirements
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant environment
Knowledge of culinary techniques and meal preparation methods
Understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Previous experience in serving or customer service is advantageous but not essential
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings as required
