We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our dishes are prepared to perfection, adhering to food safety standards while maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner, meeting service requirements
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including workstations and equipment
Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines at all times
Assist in the meal preparation process, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning ingredients
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed
Participate in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety practices
Experience
Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or culinary environment
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools, including grills, ovens, and fryers
Understanding of food safety practices and regulations
Previous experience in meal preparation is highly desirable
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
