Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team at The Ship on The Shore. We are busy seafood restaurant located on The Shore in Leith. We are looking for someone with experience in a similar fast paced restaurant and shellfish & seafood knowledge.

Please note that this is a full time position of 35-50 hours, with weekly pay & tips. The position will be consisting of day, evening & double shifts, working 5 days out of 7 including weekends. The starting salary is from 14.50-15.50 ph but is negotiable depending on experience.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to restaurant standards and recipes. Ensure food safety and hygiene practices are consistently followed in the kitchen. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to maintain a smooth workflow during service. Assist in meal preparation and presentation to enhance the dining experience. Monitor inventory and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant environment Strong culinary skills with a focus on food safety and hygiene Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and kitchen operations Prior experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role is preferred
