Position Overview:



This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and skilled chef to join Lyla right after we've been awarded a Michelin star. The role will be based on a rotating shift pattern including breakfast service, prep shifts, lunch and dinner shifts across all 7 days. The Chef de Partie will assist in managing one section of the kitchen under the supervision of the Sous Chef and Head Chef. This role is ideal for individuals who want to refine their culinary skills, work with premium ingredients, and contribute to the creative process of Michelin-quality dishes. The successful candidate will help ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen, maintain high standards of cleanliness, and ensure that food is prepared and presented to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities:



Assist the Sous Chef in preparing and cooking dishes to the highest standard. Ensure that all food preparation and cooking activities meet the restaurant's high standards of quality and presentation. Work closely with other kitchen team members to ensure efficiency and a smooth kitchen operation. Maintain clear communication with the rest of the team, ensuring that all orders are completed in a timely manner. Adhere to all food safety, health, and hygiene standards, including cleanliness of the kitchen, utensils, and workspaces. Ensure that all food is stored, handled, and prepared in compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. Assist in managing the inventory of ingredients, ensuring all necessary stock is available.

Qualifications:



Proven experience as a Commis Chef or Demi Chef de Partie in a fine dining or Michelin-starred restaurant. Passion for cooking and attention to detail. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Excellent knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards. A strong desire to learn and develop culinary skills, particularly in a Michelin-level kitchen. Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team.

Desirable:



Experience working with high-end ingredients and innovative cooking techniques. A genuine passion for pursuing a long-term career in the fine dining industry.
Salary is inclusive of tips and dependant on experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 35,000.00-38,000.00 per year
