Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines.
Assist in the organisation and cleanliness of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management as required.
Maintain a clean and organised workstation throughout the shift.
Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques.
Requirements
Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar environment is preferred.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen operations.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that delight customers.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
