Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our dishes are prepared efficiently and to perfection, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards. Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations, utensils, and equipment. Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to, including proper storage of ingredients and hygiene practices. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs to the kitchen manager. Participate in training new kitchen staff as required.

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant environment. Strong culinary skills with the ability to follow recipes accurately. Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in the kitchen. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Good communication skills for collaborating with team members. Previous experience in meal preparation and serving is advantageous. A passion for cooking and creating delicious dishes that delight customers.
