We are seeking a talented and dedicated Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and cooking, with a strong understanding of food safety practices. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our meals are prepared to the highest standards, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality standards
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment
Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
Assist in the training of new kitchen staff as needed
Collaborate with other kitchen team members to ensure efficient service during busy periods
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management
Experience
Previous kitchen experience is essential, with a focus on food preparation and cooking
Culinary experience in a restaurant setting is highly desirable
Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and food safety practices
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Experience in serving or front-of-house roles is an advantage but not mandatory
