We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in the preparation and cooking of dishes, ensuring that every plate meets our standards of excellence.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning ingredients
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
Ensure food safety practices are adhered to at all times, including proper storage and handling of ingredients
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant setting
Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques
Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools, along with basic maintenance skills
Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a busy kitchen environment
Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not essential
